What Makes Me Buy From a Jewelry Website

I'm an active online shopper, and I purchase all kinds of items on the Internet.
I love unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry that I won't see anyone else wearing, so I love finding jewelry artists who sell from their own website.
Several times I've bought beautiful pieces from an artist's website, for myself as well as for gifts for my sister and friends.
I've always had wonderful experiences with shopping from jewelry artists' websites - but there are a few things I look for in a jewelry designer's website before I actually buy from them online:
1) Some sort of guarantee or statement of what I can do if I'm not happy with the way the jewelry looks or fits when I receive it in the mail and finally get to see it in person. I like to know I won't be stuck with a bracelet that doesn't fit after all, or a necklace that isn't comfortable when I try it on.
2) Some sort of artist biography or artist statement, preferably with a photo of the artist. If I'm buying handmade, I want to see who makes it, and learn a little about them! I won't be meeting them in person, but I want some way of feeling like I've met them.
3) Testimonials from other customers. I'm more confident in purchasing from an unknown one-person business when I see reviews from other people. Just as I check for reviews before I buy a book or movie on Amazon.com, I want to see what other customers have to say about the artist whose work I'm considering buying.
Thank you to all the jewelry artists who create such wonderful, unique things! Please keep it up and don't let the economy stop you.
