The Love of Entering Jewelry Making

This was my first jewelry craft show. I had to work in the hospital that day but attended the show afterwards.

This was my first jewelry craft show. I had to work in the hospital that day but attended the show afterwards. This is me. Since this picture I have cut my hair shorter.

I love jewelry. I wanted to try to make jewelry for a long time, but didn't really have funds and thought I couldn't make beautiful jewelry like everyone else.

So, I bought a package to make jewelry and OMG!!!! I FELL IN LOVE WITH JEWELRY MAKING. I have learned several things but, still unsure on some things.

Since beginning around October 2010, I have blossomed into a craft store fanatic to buy jewelry stuff. I have had one craft show and it was so fun and have the desire to learn and grow more into making jewelry.

Every year my family does crafts fair with our famous HOMEMADE FRIED PIES. But now at some of the fairs I am adding my jewelry too. I am starting out small, so if anyone has tips to help I am very open to learn.

I am a nurse assistant and work here in my hometown hospital. I am married to a wonderful husband Scott of 14 wonderful years. I have a stepdaughter and stepson. I love my family and friends.

I hope to make many wonderful friends here from this website. So I invite all to email me anytime. :)

Hi Cynthia;
Nurses must have a creative gene because I'm one and love making jewelry for several years now. I also started out with a small table, but have grown since then and plan to continue as long as I can. I find most of my inspiration online from artists like you and catalogue free designs. Most are ideas that "pop" into my brain when I look at combinations of colors or beads. I set up at a local craft market weekly and this year have enough inventory to enter some craft shows which I am very excited about. I learned valuable tips from this newsletter and the links included. I wish you all the luck in the world for your enterprise and hope you continue posting here.

Welcome to our common addiction! Making jewelry is so satisfying, and the styles are limitless, so I'm glad you have discovered it. Rena's site is the best, also! There are fabulously talented jewelry designers out there, and I found many of them by searching online (google or dogpile.com) for jewelry blogs. I love to read about the design process, and so many generously post free tutorials online. I hope you'll drop by my blog: http://slippermoonstudio.blogspot.com
and happy jewelry making to you!

From One RN to Another...Great Choice
by: Kimberly W. Berg

Hi and welcome to the wonderful world of making and creating beautiful things! I too am an RN and I too discovered the wonderful world of making jewelry. It's a great creative outlet, a stress reliever, and it's fun to make things to wear, give as gifts, and better yet: sell. Since I've started making jewelry I've gone from making gifts, to making "mother's bracelets" for my co-workers for a small fee, to craft shows, and now a website! I am in the process of developing another site for my wedding pieces. It's all so much fun and I have the support of my husband, my sister, and my parents....good luck and glad you picked this wonderful craft up!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of jewelry making! You could not have picked a better place to share your story and craft.

This was the first place I dared to share my jewelry creations on. It's still my favorite. The artisans are amazing and supportive and Rena's newsletter is the absolute best!
