The Bunny Show

This is more about using props than anything else.

We have found that when you are up close and personal with customers they are drawn to unique little treasures not often seen with displays.

We like ceramic art using clay animals that are pit-fired in our backyard.

We form the clay into the shapes of different animals and, after burnishing, we let them dry for a couple of days.

After that it's just a matter of filling up a hole with branches and our art animals, lighting the branches on fire and then putting a cover over everything for pit firing.

The smoke gets drawn into the clay and sometimes you get some pretty neat pieces.

In our case we got a burnt bunny rabbit - but while the story is being told about the rabbit, the customer already has a necklace in their hand.

Always wait until piece has cooled before handling it....

It's fun!
