Selling a Commercial Jewelry Line at Home Parties

I'm thinking about signing up with one of the jewelry party companies, and selling their products at home shows. Do you have information about selling an established jewelry line like these, or do your articles apply to just selling handmade jewelry? Thanks in advance.

any type of jewelry.
The principles of understanding and serving jewelry consumers are the same no matter where the jewelry comes from. As you probably know, generally these are:
* Jewelry is not a necessity - it's more of an emotional purchase; how can you tap into the necessary emotions and desires?
* Sell what people are already looking for, instead of trying to train people to want what you're selling.
* Presentation is key, both in how you display your wares to people and in how you package their purchases.
* Jewelry makes a great gift; be sure to promote it from that aspect too. (In all the years I've been making and selling jewelry, about 75% of everything I've sold has been purchased to be given as gifts.) Provide complimentary elegant gift packaging (jewelry pouches, boxes, etc.). Provide a convenient shopping service for your customers that's a more enjoyable experience than going to a shopping mall.
* Don't forget to have a nice selection of medium- or lower-priced items as well as higher-priced ones; often you can earn more money by quickly selling a lot of less expensive items than you can by slowly selling one or two costly pieces.
Also, of course,
* Develop ways to reach your targeted customers, and also ways to keep in touch with your customers who have bought from you so you can build your customer base.
* Keep good records so you know where you're making a profit and where you aren't.
Home jewelry sales can be an excellent way to sell a manufactured line of jewelry - that's why there are so many different companies (Lia Sophia, Silpada, Luxe, Sarah Coventry, Fifth Avenue, etc.) based on this model.
Although you'll have to work within your chosen company's guidelines for selling their products, my collection of home jewelry party articles should give you a good background in what it takes to do successful jewelry parties with any type of jewelry:
