Sell Jewelry by Wearing it Everywhere You Go

Do you wear your own jewelry everywhere you go? If you don't, you're missing great marketing opportunities every time you go out without it! Every time you leave your house - whether to take a walk, pick up a loaf of bread at the supermarket, attend a meeting with your child's teacher, or go to the dentist - people will see you. If you want to sell more jewelry, you'll make sure they see you at your best at all times - clean, well-dressed, looking pleasant and approachable, and always wearing a few pieces of your best jewelry. Many people will be curious enough to ask you about it - and you'll have a perfect opportunity to tell them about your jewelry and your business. Some people don't feel comfortable when selling. But when potential customers are interested enough to approach you and ask about your work, you don't have to give them a sales pitch. All you have to do is tell them about your work and let your enthusiasm for what you do shine through! You never know when you might make unexpected jewelry sales and find future customers... - At work.
If you work for a medium- to large-sized company, you may come into contact with dozens, perhaps even hundreds of people every day. If they see your jewelry, they may ask you about it and you could make some sales. If they never see it, they won't. Also wear your jewelry when you visit your family or friends where they work. Their co-workers could become your customers. - At school.
If you attend high school or college, you also come into contact with dozens or even hundreds of people every day. Fellow students, their parents, teachers, and anyone working at your school may be excited about your jewelry - but only if they see it. Don't forget to wear your jewelry when you attend club meetings, concerts, banquets, and other student activities. - At the store.
If you wear your jewelry while shopping at your favorite sewing, craft or bead stores, you'll attract the attention of people who appreciate handmade art. Many of these people won't know how to do what you do, and would rather buy your jewelry than learn to make it themselves. Some may need custom designs for upcoming weddings or other formal occasions. Others may be eager to learn from you, so you may find an opportunity to teach a class. Also wear your jewelry when you go to the supermarket, the mall, the book store, and anywhere else you shop. You never know where you'll meet customers. - In waiting rooms.
When you know you'll be waiting - at the doctor's or dentist's office, or while waiting for a friend at a restaurant - bring something stunning to work on. People will become fascinated by what you're doing, and will ask you about it. Then, you can explain a little about how you do it, and promote your business. - At office appointments and meetings.
Busy professionals may not have time to shop for gifts, or may not know who to contact for custom designs. If they like your work, they may buy from you. - At your place of worship and community group meetings.
- At family gatherings, holiday parties, and when visiting friends.
When people ask about your jewelry, ALWAYS be prepared to give them a business card - or even better, a colorful brochure or postcard with pictures of your jewelry and contact information. Give them beautiful pictures of your work as a reminder, and make it easy for them to contact you when they're ready to buy.
