Securing Jewelry Inside a Box

How do you secure your jewelry inside a gift box so that when it is opened by someone, it has stayed in place for a nice presentation?
Answer:
Positioning Jewelry in a Gift Box

On top of the liner or padding inside the box, I place the hang tag or card that accompanies the piece of jewelry. (This tag states the jewelry components used, plus my business name and contact info).
Then I package the piece of jewelry by enclosing it in a zip-lock jewelry baggie to protect it from scratching and prevent tarnish. The baggie is slightly larger than the inside of box is, so I can fold under exactly enough of the baggie to make it fit tightly inside without shifting around.
This tightly-fitted baggie helps the jewelry that's inside it stay put very nicely. It also keeps the piece nice and shiny for a wonderful first impression.
The baggied jewelry is sitting on top of the hang tag / card, so the gift recipient can read the card the moment the jewelry is removed from the box.
I've found that this baggie system also does an excellent job of keeping earrings in place on their earring cards, so they're hanging nicely downward instead of at crazy angles to each other when the box is opened.
