Packaging Jewelry for Wholesale Orders

When filling a wholesale order, how do you pack your jewelry? Do you put each in its own gift box as you would for customer orders? Or just each on a jewelry card / tag in a plastic ziplock jewelry bag?

Packaging jewelry orders for shops
by: Rena

I think it's best to ask the shop owner how they prefer to have your items packaged.

I've had my jewelry in some shops that prefer to use only their own packaging for everything they sell. So I didn't bother to include the gift boxes for those shops, since they wouldn't be used at all.

In contrast, I've also sold my work to shops that believed the artist's choice of packaging was part of the overall artistic impact of the item. So I always included my best gift packaging for orders that went to those shops.

Basically, each shop is unique in how it operates, and how the owner thinks.

So asking the shop owner what they want from you in the way of packaging - and then providing it for them - is a nice touch of customization in your service to them.

I hope this helps, Honey, and I wish you fantastic sales to your wholesale clients!
