I love artisan jewelry and get mine at art fairs locally.
I prefer sterling silver with natural stones or no stones. I like charms for necklaces, finger and toe rings, and earrings.
I like to support local artists and also like having one of a kind creations.
I have only bought for myself.
I love meeting and talking with the artists too.
One thing that keeps me from buying a piece of handcrafted jewelry, though, is when it's very similar to jewelry I can get at the mall for 1/5 the price.
I know that a lot of hard work goes into designing and making jewelry, so you need to make sure it's something that people won't find anywhere else.
If something is available in a store at a lower price, then that's where people will buy it.
I tend to buy only jewelry I haven't seen anywhere else.
