Finding the marketing
strategies that work for you can also pose challenges, but you'll never know unless
you try.
5 Ideas that Helped Me
Build Brand Awareness
for The Pink Locket
- Giveaways:
Last year I came up with an idea for a contest called "The Pink
Email Extravaganza."
I sent out an email blast to all my current
customers to forward this email to all of their family and friends, and the
person who sent it to the most people received a jewelry piece from my gallery
of their choice.
It helped to build excitement and increased hits on my website
as well.

- Co-Sponsored Events:
Team up with another business or organization and plan an
event together.
Last year my cousin, who owns her own PR company, had a
cultural event and I sponsored giveaways for the event.
I was even listed as a
sponsor on the program and email blast.
- Online Socializing:
This can get a little out of hand and crazy, especially
since social networking sites are popping up everyday.
The best thing to do is
join the top three that come close to your target audience.
For instance, if
you want to target online baby boomers eons.com might work for you. If you want
to target teens then Myspace might be good.
In addition, there are many other
sites like Flickr and Stylehive.com which are my new favorites.

- Create a Video:
This helps to give more visuals about your jewelry business, and it's a
great way to tell your story.
I created one with some of my most colorful
jewelry. Check out my Pink Locket promo video.
If you have a Mac computer,
iMovie will work fine for creating your own jewelry marketing videos. Or if you have a PC, Windows Movie Maker will do.
- Monthly E-letters:
This is a great way to keep your customers in the loop on
what's going on with your business. It's a way of saying "Hi, I'm still
here and this is what we've been up to."
I usually do it once a month at the
beginning of the month.
You don't want to do it too often because you don't
want your customers thinking all you do is fill up their inbox with spam.
Hope these tips for marketing your jewelry business are as helpful for you as they were for me.

All of the jewelry designs at The Pink Locket are made by hand with a certain personality
in mind. Women are always looking for different ways and unique concepts to
change up their look. The Pink Locket designs and distributes jewelry pieces to
reflect just that idea.

fit their personality while adding a touch of culture to each piece."
She established The Pink Locket in May 2007 after
