Increase Jewelry Sales
with Layaway

VG Jewels has taken many turns over the years, and we are still evolving, which is as Martha Stewart says is “a good thing".

However, without some change we become stagnant and I love to flow.

My jewelry sales a year ago went into a little financial slump.

I had raised the quality of the stones used in creating my jewelry; consequently I also had to increase the price of my jewelry.

One day one of my sisters saw a piece of my jewelry that she really liked.

At her suggestion of offering me a deposit, and asking if I could divide the payments into a month, it occurred to me that it was a very good idea financially, not just for myself, but for the client as well. This marked the birth of Layaway at VG Jewels.

This new idea spread amongst the women in my church and upon learning of this new change in purchasing my jewelry, they quickly started putting pieces that they have been admiring on layaway.

My business has increased by 50% since this new implementation. They are so pleased with this layaway plan that they tell their friends and families. I love word of mouth. It's free!

Layaway time is four to a possible six weeks depending on the total sale of the jewelry purchase. Since starting this plan, I've had no cancellations so far. I keep all payments separate, until the order is completely paid for.

Jewelry for most women is a luxury when facing the rising cost of gas and everyday life expenses. Layaway has created a way for women to get what they want without charging it or creating an unnecessary financial dent in their pockets.

Years ago layaway was a popular option in most department stores; however, with the rising usage of charge cards it has made layaway almost obsolete. The one thing that I know is that layaway has visibly increased my jewelry sales. Give it try and see for yourself.
