Joys in life

I am a new mommy, my daughter Kaydence is almost 11 months old and she brings light into my life. My husband and I have been married for about a year and 5 months and he supports me so much in my decisions.

He told me to go in search of a hobby and my friend Heather was beginning to make jewelry, and it started off a few months ago just a way to have girl time.

Now I have some of my jewelry at my mother-in-law's flower shop but no sales yet. I am beginning to take a few new approaches now.

I love making jewelry and it is a way for me to get out and relate to the world of workers. If anyone would have told me I would be a stay at home mom 3 years ago I would have said, "YA RIGHT". But truth be told I love it.

For us as women jewelry is a centerpiece and something that can make or break your outfit. It is also a way to get down to how you feel, what kind of an outlook on life you have, and to be creative and to view yourself and others with imagination.

I absolutely love Victorian jewelry but haven't found the instructions that I am looking for yet, but that's the adventure in jewelry making.

Taking kids' play jewelry that only has a few pieces here and there and making it a little bit more of a formal or grown up look is my favorite thing to do.

I also love it when people have an idea and try to sketch it out for me with a few extra details, and then I go on a search in order to make this jewelry set to make their day a little extra special.

Thank you everyone for reading.

Joy is in the eyes of the beholder
by: Courtney

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement Rena. I truely believe that an open mind is the key to a happy life, but it's the little things in life that make my day joyful. For example: My baby girl's smile or her little Mmmmm noises as she eats every meal. So special even when I don't think the dinner was Mmmm good. Life is fragile and we all have our happy moments and not so happy moments. But that is where a lot of my jewerly inspiration comes from, and it is really amazing what you can invision. Thank you again.
