Creating and Selling
Jewelry Tutorials

© by Christine Ritchey; all rights reserved

Linda Chandler and I write jewelry making books. One of our books has a photo gallery with a bracelet that was not covered in the book. It seemed as though everyone wanted instructions for that bracelet, so we made it available as a downloadable tutorial.

We quickly discovered that adding downloadable jewelry tutorials to Linda's website is the best decision we've ever made.

Our first tutorial has brought more traffic to Linda's site while increasing our income significantly. This is a pleasant surprise to us!

We make sure to keep the quality of our downloads as high as the quality of our books, with full-color photographs and very detailed instructions. We use Adobe Acrobat to convert the file to .pdf format, which keeps the high-quality images while reducing the size of the file for faster downloading.

At first the process of selling our tutorials from Linda's site was a huge hassle. Orders would come in and then we'd have to manually email the downloads to our customers. This meant spending way too much time on the computer filling orders when we should have been writing more books or making jewelry.

Through one of the chat groups I'm on, I discovered Payloadz, an automated service that delivers downloadable products to your customers instantly after payment.

As Rena always says, work smarter, not harder!

Payloadz automates our entire sales process by enabling our customers to pay for and download our tutorial, sending them a receipt, and reporting the sale to us.

This means that once we have a jewelry tutorial listed with Payloadz, we really don't have to do anything else. We can leave town and Payloadz will still take the orders, deliver the tutorials to the customers, and provide us with a report of all the activity when we come home. We'll also have the money automatically deposited into our account.

I can't recommend this service highly enough! After writing the initial jewelry tutorial, it's like not working at all. Payloadz frees us to do all the other things that we need to be doing to generate even more money.

We have more downloadable jewelry tutorials coming soon!
