Dr. David Weiman (shown in the photo at right), known as "The Jewelry Marketing Doctor", is a psychologist who also has an encyclopedic knowledge of the jewelry industry.

His monthly paid-subscription ezine, Jewelry Selling Insights, is a must-read publication if you're serious about selling your handcrafted jewelry.

Each issue is filled with full-length articles and tips about various aspects of marketing your work. What I find especially valuable are Dr. Weiman's keen insights into jewelry customer psychology. His tips for understanding your customers and then turning that understanding into a profitable jewelry business are invaluable for creative people.

Although he doesn't emphasize this fact, Dr. Weiman understands jewelry artists every bit as well as he understands jewelry customers. He's also the marketing director of three magazines in our industry - Lapidary Journal, Step by Step Beads, and Step by Step Wire Jewelry.

He knows that most artists tend to be stronger in the right-brained creative stuff and weaker in the left-brained business management stuff. And because he understands that part of us, he provides excellent guidance in areas such as defining your market, pricing your jewelry (including the psychology involved in pricing), growing your best customer base, and choosing the selling opportunities that are right for you.

Jewelry Selling Insights comes to your email box in an attractive, multi-page, magazine-style format that's easy to read on your screen or printed out. I highly recommend printing out each issue and putting them all in a three-ring notebook; you'll want to refer back to them often.
