Is Your Jewelry Price Right?

I highly recommend Rena's jewelry pricing formula to anyone starting or thinking about selling their handmade jewelry online. I have been making and selling jewelry online for about 9 months. I had always simply guessed what price someone would be willing to pay for certain pieces. My jewelry prices were too low. And almost every customer told me I could charge more. I always wanted to be fair and honest with my prices, but I did not have the knowledge to do so until now. After reading Rena's tips I used the jewelry pricing formula and have more confidence in myself and a new respect for my jewelry. For example, a necklace that took me three hours to make before reading Rena's tips would have been marked $40. My time is worth more than $13 an hour - that doesn't even count the costs or overhead. Now I use the formula and let's just say - I gave myself a raise. Thank you for sharing, Rena. You were an answer to a prayer. Note from Rena: Thank you, Debra, for your kind words and for sharing your positive experience with raising your jewelry prices! We so often sell ourselves short and charge too little for our work. Kudos to you for increasing the prices on your beautiful jewelry, and giving yourself a much-deserved raise!
