Jewelry Business License or Permit

What do I need for permits or taxes for selling jewelry? Do I need a license or somehow obtain an official "business" form from the government? I searched all over the web but can't seem to find info.

Thank you!

Jewelry Business License, etc.

The licenses, permits, or other paperwork you need for your jewelry business depend on what your local (city, county, state, or country) authorities require.

To find out what licensing your jewelry business is required to have, call your county or city clerk's office, which should be listed in the government section of your phone book. If you do need a license, there is usually just a one-page form to fill out and a small fee to pay.

Another step when you start a jewelry business is to register with your state's Department of Revenue Sales Tax Division. You can find your state's department of revenue online or in the state government section of your phone book.

Don't let these minor paperwork things keep you from getting your business going.

These are easier than they sound, and quick and painless to do. Your local authorities are usually quite helpful in getting you through the process.

Renewing trade license
by: Rena

You'll need to contact the agency or government branch that issued your trade license to find out the renewal fee or any other info on it.

If you have the physical (paper) license, or the paperwork from when you first got it, the name of the organization that issued it should be printed somewhere on it.

Once you know the name of the organization, a quick phone book search or Google search should reveal how you can contact them.
