I am in the process of starting a jewelry business but I'm not sure how to inventory certain items. I purchased some of my beads and findings as a mix and I'm not sure how to separate the items for inventory purposes.

IE: Mixed Findings, Starter Packs, Strands with various shapes and sizes of beads, and especially bead bags (an assortment of items sold by the ounce or pound).

Do I have to count each item separately?

And how do I figure the cost of good sold? Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.
