Making Friends and Family Aware of Your Jewelry Parties

Hi Nancy,

First, I recommend making some flyers that detail your jewelry parties and what the hostess can earn (in jewelry) for having a party.

Then give perhaps half a dozen of these flyers to each of your closest friends and family members. Ask them to kindly give out a flyer to anyone they know who may be interested in earning free jewelry by hosting a party.

Of course, your friends and family will wind up reading the flyers themselves to see what it's all about - and may decide to host one of your jewelry parties on their own initiative.

This is a no-pressure way to make your loved ones aware of your parties - while at the same time hopefully spreading the word to their friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. when they pass your flyers along.

Referral Gift

I agree and use a small brochure for friends/family to give to others. I tell them to write their name on the brochure so I know who "referred" them to me if a party is booked.
As a thank-you for the referral, I make them a pair of earrings. It's not a lot of cost but a nice way to say thanks for taking the time to share my business with others.
