Working some hot new jewelry trends into your inventory can really boost your sales. Even if you only adapt a few elements of a trend (such a color or jewelry length) to your own style, keeping on top of new trends in fashion and accessories will help your sales to every age group. Some ideas that have helped me stay hip and up-to-date are the following:

  1. Look through fashion and women's magazines. This is a great way to see what is hot in clothing styles as well as jewelry trends. You can see all the newest color and material combinations. You also get to see things on real models, which is helpful for noticing the length of jewelry and the amount of accessories worn. Stay with the hip trends of the season and watch your profits soar!

  2. Check out those seasonal catalogs that arrive in your mail a season too early. Fight the urge to throw them in the back of the closet until the weather is cooler/warmer. This is your ticket to breaking into the fad before it hits the shelf. Be the first to sport and sell the newest and greatest!

  3. Window shop at the super-trendy stores in the mall. Look at how the mannequins are dressed and accessorized, and take a look at the clothes on the shelves. Notice how things are put together, and ask the salesperson what items are purchased the most.

  4. Watch TV shows and news stations that are into fashion. What is everyone wearing? What do they seem to be talking about? Think of ways to incorporate these into your jewelry. There are great inspirations to be found there - you just have to find them.

  5. Pay close attention to the ultra-trendy celebrities. Such people in the public eye are almost always at the top of the fashion game. Their jewelry sets an example of what's in style, and how to pull it together.

Implement some of these things into your business routine and you will be selling hot, trendy jewelry in no time. Remember, you can always set trendy and styles yourself. Your taste is just as good as anyone else's. Be your own jewelry trend starter!
