We have entered the Aquarian consciousness.
This is an opportunity to
collectively create beauty in a manner that honors the environmental and
spiritual component of making things with our hands.
I am grateful to be
using my gift of creation to reflect beauty that is stylish and "green".
Looking at Raw Materials in a Different Light
Jewelry is a combination of elements with their own intrinsic properties.
Each
of these properties - metal, stone, plastic, gem, clay, fabric - are the building
blocks for a wearable piece of art.
The building blocks are created by
machine, and by hand. The by-products of the building blocks' raw materials
become either a source of waste, or more raw material.
I believe the raw materials used in jewelry design can be re-purposed.

The Green Approach: Re-Purposing
Jewelry
designers can share their raw material by-products with other artisans, jewelry
designers, and multi-media fine artists.
My company, The M Line Jewelry, uses 90% of its raw material building blocks from
items salvaged from the past.
I am honored to be using vintage chain, costume
and estate jewelry to construct statement jewelry for the modern women.
I
salvage, repair, combine and subtract with by-products of the past, made
beautiful for the future.
This is the Aquarian way, the Green way to find the answer in the creation
process that heals rather than harms.

Let's collaborate our efforts, as jewelry
designers who share our by-products with each other and with other artisans to
create beauty.
Author Monica Macha's The M Line Jewelry is about making you feel sexy in vintage jewelry made modern. Monica says,
"We
take our cue from the fashion industry, and Hollywood. Think Sarah Jessica
Parker in Sex in the City, and you will have the M line jewelry brand. Our
jewelry is one of a kind, just like you!"
