How many of you have seen that Give 'em the Pickle customer service video?
Seriously though, with the economy the way it is some businesses are really taking a hit.
The confusing part is that some are not. Why?
It is only customer service sometimes that will set you apart.
My sales have been better the last couple of years than before.
With Christmas coming and all the shows, parties and tabling events coming up I wanted to share something with you that I do year round but that really makes an impression on people based on the feedback I get from them.
Don't break the bank or get into your profits but GIVE your customers something!
A couple of ideas for internet sales are little rings made from art wire and a gemstone or bead, or a really inexpensive pair of earrings.
Also, remember to respond to your online sales thanking your customer in some way.
Another thing I always do is if someone contacts me and there is no sale I always thank them for their interest in my shop, for checking it out.
Sometimes they don't leave an e-mail so I cannot thank them for stopping by the guestbook, but whenever possible I do respond in some way.
At parties there should always be a drawing. When I do a table at the VA I have a drawing at the end of the day. They don't have to be present to win but usually all kinds of people come to see who won and most of the time I end up with a sale.
People expect good customer service. What you want to give them is great customer service.
I want my customer to receive their package and tell all their friends, "look what was in my package with my order!"
I have had a couple of customers misunderstand, and e-mail me to tell me there was someone else's order in with theirs. So now on the packing slip I add a HAND-WRITTEN note thanking them and telling them to enjoy their free gift.
I currently have a drawing for a free necklace for signing up on my e-mail list and 44 people have signed up!
Most of my business throughout the year is repeat customers. So "give them the pickle" and watch your profits grow!
