I have always had a love for jewelry making but was a full-time elementary school teacher for 9 years and only had the time to do it during the summer months.
When I had my son, I decided to be a stay at home mom and take some time off from the classroom. When he was about a year old, I decided to turn my jewelry making hobby into a business.
I created a website selling my designs.
It still is new and is not exactly taking off so to speak but I have seen a pick-up in sales since I have set up an advertising account with Google, MSN, Yahoo, etc.
Also advertising on Facebook has helped.
I have started jewelry parties and that has been great, along with bringing my designs to various gifts stores and boutiques to sell some jewelry!
With a little faith in yourself and determination, you can do anything as long as you follow your passion!
I also reccommend looking at Rena Klingenberg's website for wonderful tips on starting a jewelry business!
Thank you Rena!!!!
