Finding Workers for a Jewelry Business

by Lori

Awesome website! One thing I would love to know about, are ways to find workers. Our business has grown to the point where it's difficult to keep up with jewelry orders. We have a few women who help, but could really use more. Any suggestions on how to find them...? We've already tried advertising in a jewelry trade magazine.

I would recommend posting about your needs on work-at-home mom (WAHM) forums for starters. I know there are lots of reliable women on these sites who want to make money while staying home with their children, but haven't found a way to do it yet.

You might also try posting about your needs on jewelry making forums. There may be skilled people there who would be glad to have this kind of work.

I have a list of some of the best jewelry forums here: Jewelry Forums.

Also, if you're not a member of The Switchboards forum I suggest joining it and posting your question there. There are lots of other proactive, creative business women there, who may have some insights for you too.

Work at Home Moms Can Make Great Jewelry Workers!
by: Cristina A.

Moms who stay home but want to earn some money can be good workers if you need basic jewelry skills done. For example, beading, cutting your jewelry tags / earring cards apart, etc. It's worth it to hire out some of this busy work to leave more time for yourself to do the more intricate or marketing work!
