Customer Appreciation Gift Idea

© by Dianne Culbertson; all rights reserved

Boost your sales this season with this customer appreciation gift idea. It's free for the customer, and inexpensive for you.

Everyone likes a little surprise gift in the mail!

This is something I do all year, but I have found it to be especially helpful during the high-traffic holiday buying season.

I use these wonderful lever-back earring findings that I get from Accessories Susan. They are very inexpensive - and along with plated headpins and some low-cost 6mm beads, the total expense is under $1.00 for a pair of earrings.

I have these earrings in two colors, one cool and one warm. Regardless of whether I sell a hat, bag or one of my jewelry pieces, I always include one of these as a free customer appreciation gift.

I have had customers on Etsy tell me it made the difference between buying from me or buying from someone else.

If the order is especially large I will do a pair of earrings in pearls using sterling or 14K gold filled, but only for very large orders.

The idea is to keep your cost low but make something that your customer will appreciate.

I am also listing them on my website for sale, as I think this makes it more appealing for the customer to receive a free pair in the mail. Of course, then you have to have a different bead to use for the freebies.

I also put it in a gift box and tie it with a pretty ribbon - oranges and yellows for most of the year, and green or red for the Christmas season.

I do have a few customers who purchase from me on a regular basis, so I try to keep track of what I've sent them and not send the same earrings again - but even if I do they can always give them away as gifts!

Accessories Susan was a great find. Her prices are very reasonable and her merchandise is good quality. It really helped me stay at a cost that I could work with for this customer appreciation gift idea.
