I have a full time job, and three sons. Combining housework, helping the children with studies and other obligations that take almost all my time.
But I love creating my pieces. I just love being and handling the various stuff we use. For me it is therapeutic.
I need to sell because the craft that started as a hobby is eating hole into my budget. My major challenge is selling my stuff.
I dream of owning my own workshop and showroom some day, but now lack the initial capital.
I live with others including another full time bead jeweller.
To avoid causing internal family conflict I avoid inviting potential clients home.
I am shy, lack the confidence to walk up to people and show them my pieces.
But I can assure you no one returns any work I have sold.
I have given some lessons to clients.
My next plan of action is get personalized business cards, brochures out. Start some monthly beading lessons and move on from there.
I know I need to be bold and take the step.
