Build
Your Jewelry Business
Slowly

I just started my jewelry business about a month ago and I couldn't have picked a worse time. It is craft show season, and all booths are already booked! Plus I don't have enough jewelry to sell yet. So here's my plan:

I am going to go to a craft show in October and check things out. If I like it I will sign up for a booth next year.

I know what you're thinking - that's such a long time from now!

Well, that's what I thought at first, but this is actually a good thing, a very good thing.

In a year, I will have more experience, more jewelry, and more time! I have loved making my own jewelry since I was a little girl, and I have been progressing over the years.

But there is always more to learn. There is so much I still don't know how to do and I really want to learn.

So here's a tip to all those who just started a jewelry business:

There's no rush!

I have learned this just by looking at other people's jewelry websites. In the meantime, get your own jewelry website started and focus on that. Make jewelry in your free time to save up for the craft show.

It takes time to be good at this craft and learn all there is to learn. But if you love it, it's worth it!

So if you intend to sell your jewelry over the long term, start by planning well, doing things right, and building your jewelry business slowly.
