Breaking Into a Jewelry Market

Breaking into a jewelry market may be difficult for a new and fresh line.

Our line started in Kingston, Jamaica in April 2006, while my partner who is the designer (goldsmith) was still enrolled at university.

We both believed however, that there is no time like the present!

So we took the approach of staying focused and doing what we believed in and loved:

We wanted to do a jewellery business that was as dynamic as it was positive in building our community, nation and country while platforming.

Our focus was on ORIGINALITY, creativity, and one day being recognized worldwide as any major line such as Chanel and Versace.

And so we started!

We shared our ideas with persons who were successful in business, forging relationships with others who would encourage our development and growth, and who were open to sharing our vision.

Having GOOD and positive support is a KEY element in success!!!

We then set out to link with successful and resilient designers and top model agencies in Jamaica.

We volunteered our services and launched our company - Reve Jewellery and Accessories. "Reve" comes from the French word meaning "dream".

We entered competitions, accessorized fashion shows, participated in career day at high schools, were (and still are) active advocates of local charities.

We work with renowned Reggae artists on videos and album covers, and they've toured the world wearing our pieces.

We never took NO for an answer, even if it was initially difficult to get through to them! We would just try and try again!

We've always gladly given our time, jewellery and effort in everything we do - and now we have our own showroom located at a beautiful heritage site and botanical gardens in DEVON HOUSE, Kingston, Jamaica.

In our showroom we also distribute the work of other young, extremely talented, and equally driven Jamaican designers.

And ALL on our own efforts in an economic crisis!

The REVE Jewellery and Accessories line continues to grow from strength to strength, through the synergy of a talented and determined network of persons who all share the vision of making ourselves and others STRONGER while making them look and feel beautiful - INSIDE and OUT!
