A Voyage Which Turned Into a Passion for Jewelry

In August 2007, I suddenly had to go to Mexico for business.

During my stay in Mexico, I had the time to visit a friend who, without giving me any explanation, suggested going to Taxco, a place I had never heard of before.

On the way, after the last bend, I discovered the amazing white city - the silver city.

Wandering in the narrow white streets, surrounded by shiny silver jewelry, endless style, jewelry art, I was dreaming and floating.

Back to the States, Taxco was always in my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about all that astounding silver jewelry.

I started to do some research about jewelry, silver jewelry and the history of Taxco.

I found stories of women, who each for their curious coincidence, fell in love with jewelry and started their own business.

In Rena's blog, I read lots of stories which inspired me in my new adventure.

I began to take jewelry classes in order to understand more about jewelry.

And it just clicked; one day, I decided to open my online jewelry business with the idea to promote talented jewelry designers and import special jewelry art techniques from different countries and my own pieces.

After two years of researching, reading Rena's blog business tips and planning, in 2010 I finally opened my online jewelry boutique, which sells handmade silver jewelry.

Thanks to my sudden, unplanned voyage to Mexico, I discovered two passions, making and selling silver jewelry for women.

I loved how you got into making and selling jewelry. I went to Taxco for the first time last year and it is such a neat place. I liked all of the silver jewelry stores and bought some really nice pieces. I am now learning how to make jewelry with the goal to eventually sell. Silver is a really neat metal that can be made into so many beautiful things. Good luck with your business!

Another jewelry lover
