Razzling rhinestone lariat with aquamarine briolettes
I am an independent jewelry designer. My background in the visual arts is reminiscent in my jewelry through my flair for color, attention to detail, and craftsmanship.
After receiving great encouragement and gratification from friends, family and people who had already fallen in love with my jewelry I decided to start my jewelry business.
I believe people may buy, collect or wear handmade jewelry due to making personal connections of their jewelry's symbolic significance. My jewelry and their vibrant stones reflect my belief that stones link people spiritually across cultures.
I also draw from my paintings, sculptures and ceramics. I've always had an interest in art. When I first put my hands into paint - the youngest member of my mother's art class - my creativity blossomed. My inspiration first began at home where I would observe my mother sketch, paint, and draw.
Painting and drawing throughout my school days, teachers encouraged me to develop my own skills as well as to teach others.
I think it is very important to share your passion and to give back. I enjoy encouraging youth and adults to meet their full potential whether it is creating or simply learning more about the visual arts. I have taught and created art for over 15 years.
