Like many of your readers, I too have read all of the tips and advice I can wrap my head around, trying to make my online jewelry shop a success.

I would like to share some of the most useful and free ideas I have found about getting noticed on Etsy!

Step 1) Ways to Generate More Traffic:

As we know there are countless shops on Etsy, and many of them offer handmade jewelry.

One simple way I have been able to generate traffic is to use the "favorites" feature.

By adding another shop to my favorites I found it encourages other shop owners to visit my shop and add me to their favorites and this equals more viewers.

Another successful free traffic builder is to start a fan page on Facebook.

Encourage your friends to become a fan. You can offer free drawings and share your new items easily... and the best part is it's free!

Step 2) How to Take Better Jewelry Pictures:

I found that taking good pictures was very challenging at first, and like many people I had never learned how to use all the different features on my digital camera.

It was very frustrating, but luckily I still had the owner's manual for my camera and after some trial and error, I can now take pictures with ease.

Tip:
If you don't have your owner's manual, you can try to look up your camera model online and see if the company offers a free pdf manual.

I also found that by using human models and colorful props in my pictures, they make my items look more interesting and professional.
